WUWT reports the Scare of the Day: Methane.

Methane, The Panic Du Jour

The horror. Methane is being release from melting permafrost (never mind that it’s melted many times before.) Al Gore will probably start pushing it ASAP, especially if it’s in line with his investment portfolio.

So it all boils down to the “All Your Economy Are Belong to Us” motivation that drives the CO2 scare.In short, lots of scare, no science. Zzzz….

Let’s assume that the methane emissions in the Arctic is “worse than we thought”. Doesn’t that mean that the sensitivity of the climate is likely less than was previously modeled, since a huge source of greenhouse gas was not accounted for, with apparently little effect?
